2013 Golden Globes After Parties..

Posted by DJS Events

The 2013 Golden Globes After Parties really missed the mark this year in our opinion. Overall it seemed as if almost every party was a bit all over the place and confusing. We had some ideas on what we may have done differently...let us know if you agree! (All photos c/o Bizbash)

1. InStyle & Warner Brothers
This whole event was way too dark for our taste. Understandably, with the sponsor being Godiva, it was in their best interest to use that theme to their advantage. However, the red and brown reminds us of typical Valentines day chocolate. Not a fan.

2. HBO

Not sure why they chose a pink and black color palette for HBO. Reminds us of a Sweet Sixteen party rather than one of the most notable nights in Hollywood.

3.THE WEINSTEIN COMPANY

Maybe it is the angle of these photos, but it does not seem to make any sense nor do we like the color scheme. It does not seem inviting, yet the elements could have worked if it was done with softer colors to become more "Hollywood Glamour".

4. NBC/UNIVERSAL

We have to say that we love the color palette that was used at the NBC/Universal party. The element that we loved most about this event (according to Bizbash.com) The Teacher Trek program was promoted by using  "the red carpet had a whiteboard for celebrities to sign; it will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the program." This gave us the idea that more celebrity parties, such as the Golden Globes, are great places for charities and donations to take place. Why not add more next year?

5. FOX

To us, this looks like a venue that was left as is, plus the addition of some neon green lights and trees. There is not one part of this design or decor that we can appreciate. There is no excitement here.

6. AMC

Are we missing something here? The AMC party looks like an old catering hall with some sparse flower centerpieces. Dislike.

Overall, none of these parties seemed to impress us...what do you think?
