The White House Correspondant White House Correspondents’ Association dinner—also dubbed Washington’s “nerd prom” is a once a year occasion when Washington politicians, Hollywood stars, and New York media bigwigs all flock to the city for a 3,000-guest dinner at the Hilton. Surrounding this bombastic extravagance, every year, the media outlets gets fierce, with Vanity Fair, Bloomberg, People, Time, and MSNBC hosting events competing for guests and press mentions.

Bloomberg andVanity Fair hosted a V.I.P.-only party at the French ambassador’s residence for the past three years. The parties were known for fabulous decor and super high tech installations.
